Can custom retail processes or omnichannel services be integrated into the POS interface?

Yes. Snabble POS is more than just a rigid, standard checkout. Thanks to the flexible app architecture (Flutter), we can integrate retailer-specific workflows directly into the frontend. Whether it involves specialized Click & Collect pickup processes, return logics, or consultation features (Endless Aisle): the POS adapts to your workflows, not the other way around. The underlying business logic is securely managed via the Snabble POS Platform.

 

How much does the Snabble POS system cost?

The pricing is based on a transparent Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. You pay a monthly license fee per checkout point (OpEx), which already includes hosting, operations, and all updates. There are no high one-time costs for server licenses. Since you are also hardware-independent and do not have to maintain local servers, the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is significantly reduced compared to traditional legacy systems. How quickly is the Snabble POS ready for use during a new store opening?

The rollout is extremely fast. Since the configuration is hosted in the cloud, you simply need to set up the hardware in the new store, install the app, and log in. The system automatically retrieves all master data, prices, and settings. A new checkout point is operational in just a few minutes ("Zero-Touch Deployment").

Can I also use the system as a Self-Checkout (SCO)?

Yes, that is one of the strengths of the architecture. Since the software base is identical, you can also run the Snabble POS on SCO terminals with a customized user interface. For you, this means: one system, one logic, and one central backend for both manned checkouts and self-service checkouts.

What happens in case of support issues in the store?

Snabble offers defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for enterprise use. Since the system is cloud-based, our support (or your internal IT) can directly access diagnostic data via remote access and often resolve problems immediately without a technician having to travel to the store.

Can I operate Snabble POS in parallel with my old POS system?

Yes, that is possible without any problems. Thanks to the flexible architecture of the Snabble POS Platform, you can perform a "soft migration." This allows you to initially equip only individual stores or even just specific checkout points within a store with Snabble while your legacy systems continue to run. Since both systems access the same master data via interfaces, smooth parallel operation is guaranteed during the transition phase.

Is the system stable even during extreme peak loads (e.g., Christmas shopping)?

Absolutely. Unlike traditional servers that buckle under overload, Snabble's cloud architecture automatically scales with demand ("auto-scaling"). Whether it is Black Friday or the pre-Christmas season: the system dynamically provides more computing power in the background to process thousands of transactions simultaneously and without delay.
