"We are looking forward to the challenge of decisively shaping the digitalization of retail with our ideas and in close cooperation with our partners."
Simon Rappold, Head of Product Marketing
The small store concept tegut... teo is probably the most renowned project in joint cooperation between Wanzl and Snabble. In order to guarantee the security of the store, an entrance control is required. Customers:inside must use a QR code generated by the tegut... teo app or a credit card to enter the microstore. The Wanzl technology opens the doors of the tegut... teo when the code is entered correctly. Especially in times of pandemic, but also for an increased feel-good factor in the store, which is just under 50 square meters in size, only a certain number of people are allowed in each store. This increases the safety and the shopping experience of the customers:inside.
A partnership outlook
More and more retailers are looking for ways to tap into territories that were previously not economical enough. Autonomous stores and 24/7 concepts are therefore gaining attention and popularity. Essential components in these concepts are a system for entrance management and a self-checkout solution. Various joint projects are planned for the future.
