We are excited to announce snabble will provide mobile self-scanning and mobile self-checkout for EDEKA Rhein-Ruhr. EDEKA is Germany’s largest food retailer, and as the largest of EDEKA’s seven regional branches, **EDEKA Rhein-Ruhr spans about 1.000 stores** in western Germany and generates a yearly revenue of 4.5 billion euros. We will start at EDEKA Paschmann, Mannesmannallee 31, 45475 Mülheim an der Ruhr. CEO Falk Paschmann is one of Germany’s leading retailers who implemented self-checkout terminals very successfully. Soon you will be able to scan your items with the snabble app and pay via QR code at one of sixteen checkout-terminals. We are currently preparing a pre-launch with about 150 selected customers to make sure everything runs as smooth as expected.

"I am proud to offer our customers a great new way of shopping that is fast and convenient. It complements our already existing innovative store concept."
